It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to
Bronson on 13th July 2007.
He was just 6 weeks short of his
15th birthday - a grand age & a true testament
to all Mary's love and care.
RIP Bronnie ~ you were one of a kind and
we will miss you dreadfully. 

In his heyday he was a true devil and loved nothing more than
raiding rubbish bins in Dendy Park to see what interesting
goodies he could find. He has also been known to help himself
to the sausages from the BBQ at the local hall in Dendy Park
and also devour a birthday cake from the next door neighbour's
kitchen.... the list is far too long to continue here. 
 
However, amidst all his naughty behaviour he was a terrific show
dog and was a Multi Class In Show winner. He was very rarely
unplaced at Melbourne Royal Shows and Club Specialties.
A brilliant showman with very sound movement, 
he would nearly stack himself up without any
assistance from his handler. Bronson was handled by many
people over the years and he was a favourite with the
children for Child Handler classes. 

Bronson ended his show career on the highest note possible.....
He was Graded 'V1 Excellent' in the Veterans Class by the
German Breed Warden, Herr Heinrich Giesemann
at the 2nd Weimaraner National in Adelaide in 2001
at 9 years of age.

I was lucky enough to speak to Herr Giesemann (via an interpreter)
after the show and he commented that, "The winner of Veteran Dog
was a beautiful representative of the breed and I would
love to take him home with me to Germany."  High praise indeed.

Bronson was used very lightly at stud. 
His most successful progeny
 are the littermates from his litter

Our thanks to our dear friend Mary Clarke for being one of
the best owners ever and for all her loving care and patience
over the years.....

Frozen semen from Bronson will feature in our plans
in the years to come.
